This training option includes advance financing by SWISS of your pilot training course. Once you have completed your training, a selection committee will determine when the company can accept you into its cockpit crew corps.

Swiss AviationTraining offers you the chance to finance your own training to obtain your air transport pilot licence (ATPL), with which you can offer your services to any airline you wish (including SWISS).
A trainee may prefer to finance their pilot training themselves for any of a number of reasons:
- their subsequent goal is not to work for SWISS;
- they do not meet SWISS’s acceptance criteria (e.g. because of their age);
- they have not fully met the requirements in their SWISS aptitude assessment and/or
- SWISS is not currently offering any contracts for would-be pilots including advance financing of their training.
In the last two cases, the trainee is entirely free to apply to SWISS again once they have completed their pilot training.
