Career

Once a trainee has completed their integrated Air Transport Pilot Training (ATP), they can apply for employment as a pilot at any airline.

Once a trainee has completed their integrated Multi-Crew Pilot License-Training (MPL), the SWISS selection committee will decide whether they can be accepted for employment with SWISS. Such employment may be offered immediately or after a certain waiting period, depending on current crewing needs. Basically, the holder of an MPL may join either of the two SWISS cockpit crew corps:

Swiss International Air Lines Ltd.

- The “SWR” corps, which operates both short-haul and long-haul
aircraft.

Swiss European Air Lines Ltd.
- The “SWU” corps, which flies only short-haul aircraft.
