Type Training Level 1 (L1 / C)
 

Type Training L1 / C for Saab 2000, BAe 146 / Avro RJ85/100 series, Embraer ERJ 135/145, Embraer EMB 170/190 series and Bombardier CRJ 100/200 & CRJ 700/900.


Objective
After completing the Type Training C Maintenance Course, the participant should be able to:

-  describe the general layout of the aircraft’s major systems
- describe the general layout/characteristics of the aircraft’s engines
-  identify maintenance practices that are important to the airframe,
airframe systems and engines
- identify the special tooling and testing equipment used with the
aircraft
- identify the safety precautions relating to airframe, airframe
systems and engines

The above requires a knowledge of the relevant manuals such as the Maintenance Manual, the Systems Schematics Manual, the Wiring Manual and the Illustrated Parts Catalogue, as well as the required tooling and equipment.


Content

The content of this course complies with the relevant EASA
Part-147 provisions. The practical training extends to individual components, assembled units, MDS and avionics BIT procedures, and can also be offered separately within an EASA Part-145 context.


Admission requirements

The course is intended for Category C maintenance technicians. Participants must have the expertise and experience to meet the knowledge and skill levels required for the corresponding EASA licences (or equivalents).


Course length
- 5 days of theoretical instruction


Examination
Every participant will be required to undergo examinations – and obtain a passing grade of at least 75% – to ensure that the key course goals are achieved.
